STARS AND DESTINY
About the misconception of the influence of stars and planets on destiny, and what astrology really is in this context.

Stars and Destiny
One of the mistakes in astrology is mixing together concepts such as fate and the influence of stars on fate. As a rule, this mistake arises from a fundamental distortion in the understanding of the basics of celestial art. Stars, like planets, have no influence other than purely physical. But physical influences are not related to astrology, but to astronomy, astrophysics and astrochemistry. This is the field of study of purely physical radiation and influences of planets and stars, as well as other cosmic bodies, on Earth and humans, leaving aside their activity per se, which is of purely scientific interest and not directly related to life on our planet. It is enough to read ‘Earth Echo of Solar Storms’ by A.L. Chizhevsky to understand what exactly is being discussed, using the example of solar activity and solar cycles as they apply to Earth processes, both social and purely physical, such as pandemics, wars and revolutions, the rise and fall of birth rates, and much more. But this is not astrology, but scientific materialism. Until astronomy and astrology become one again, like body and soul fused together, with the soul being the dominant and determining factor, as it once was, it is difficult, even impossible, to talk about any connection between astrology and science. At least in the foreseeable future of the next century, perhaps even two, it is not worth expecting anything else. The materialistic mind, which in its time divided astrology and astronomy into two separate disciplines, in the person of Ptolemy, tends to divide and deny rather than bring together what is visible and invisible. Until the field of science goes beyond materialism, we should not expect serious study of questions of destiny in the material world — this is nothing more than a utopia.
But what are we getting at? The essence of astrology lies not so much in the study of various influences, stars and planets on human destiny, but in the study of destiny as reflected in the stars and planets. Not in their influence on destiny, but in its reflection in them. There is an unbridgeable gap between these two approaches. On one side is modern astrology, or more precisely astro-psychology, or atheistic materialism in astrology, which more accurately reflects what has been said; and on the other is Tradition, part of which is authentic astrology, based on a belief in providence and destiny, as well as in God. Because if we reject the divine as an element of astrology, then we should also reject fate, because it loses its meaning and purpose, and all that remains in our knowledge is bare materialism and scientific, purely physical determinism of natural processes, in the form of solar activity, lunar cycles and so on, in an attempt to link them to events in earthly life, which is what modern, pseudo-scientific astrology is all about.
We study the heavenly reflections of fate through astrology. Not the influence of stars or planets on fate. Stars, like planets, do not interfere in anything. Neither temporarily nor permanently. Never. And in this sense, when we call ourselves fatalists — which is what we are — we are only talking about predetermined fate, but not about the influence of stars, planets or anything like that on fate.
Astrology studies destiny, whether of a person, a state, an empire, a nation or something else — a particular issue, as in horary astrology, for example — with the help of the celestial art. But the celestial art does not create destiny. It only reflects it. Nothing more.
Of course, it is possible to cite as an example a different point of view — more ancient than the modern one — some grimoires and magical treatises that are associated with the so-called influence of the stars and planets, which can be used for various actions, such as creating talismans, casting curses, or attracting something specific into one's life. But, again, when we begin to delve deeper into this topic, we realise that what we are dealing with is nothing more than a celestial mechanism of time that reflects those forces and influences that lie beyond the realm of visibility. It is like a cosmic clock that indicates a specific time when it is most favourable to do something because a certain kind of force in space contributes to it. But this happens not so much because of the planets or stars and their positions in the sky, which are nothing more than a derivative of this process, but because of what lies behind them and what they merely express. More precisely, what they are a visible symbol of. Nothing more. Otherwise, as we have said many times before, it would be enough to travel to Mars to come into contact with Ares and similar nonsense that has nothing to do with the true nature of the gods.
Unity is everywhere. Its rays are only a reflection of forces. The visible is nothing more than a reflection, but not its source. Destiny is imprinted everywhere. Both in heaven and on earth.
